The renovation work on the Church of the Miseric\u00f3rdia in Melga\u00e7o, carried out by Signinum<\/a>, foram inauguradas este domingo, 1 de mar\u00e7o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThank you for the professionalism and dedication with which you have taken on this project,\u201d said the trustee of the Santa Casa da Miseric\u00f3rdia de Melga\u00e7o<\/a>, Jorge Ribeiro, at the ceremony presided over by the Bishop of Viana do Castelo, D. Jo\u00e3o Lavrador. The event was also attended by \u00c2ngela Guerra, administrator of Santa Casa; In\u00eaz Dentinho, coordinator of the Queen D. Leonor Fund\u2014which provided financial support for the project - and Jos\u00e9 Albano Domingues, mayor of Melga\u00e7o, among other institutional representatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The restoration project encompassed the entire building and its artistic elements, from the roof to the altarpieces, including the upper choir, which was in danger of collapsing. Thanks to the dedication of Signinum\u2019s professionals across various fields\u2014from carpentry to conservation and restoration\u2014it was possible to restore this historic and religious heritage site, dating back to the 12th century, to its former glory.

As D. Jo\u00e3o Lavrador said at the inauguration: \u201cWhen you undertake a restoration, you\u2019re always looking toward the future.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
