This Setecentista Fountain, classified as a National Monument, with a monumental architectural framework, belonging to the Lisbon system of the Águas Livres Aqueduct, presented plenty of pathologies. In addition to the recurrent degradation phenomena that occurred, associated with its function and material nature in limestone, the greatest relevance of the conservation and restoration intervention, focused on the inadequate removal of previous interventions. Along with the conservation of the limestone stones and their masonry, the public equipment was given back to the city through the recuperation of the fountain's hydraulic system.
